Connecticut Mediation now offers convenient one - on - one, phone/home study programs.
Here is a very convenient way to train to be a mediator without having to spend money on gas and time on traveling:
The Award winning Connecticut Mediation training program has been adapted into a new home study Mediation training for your convenience. This home study program will replace the original training program.
What you will receive:
- a certificate of completion for 30 hours of Basic Training.
- 30 hours of Mediation Training trains you to be a mediator and satisfies the International Academy of Collaborative Practitioners requirements for Collaborative practice.
This new program was created to make it easier for one to study the essential components of this field. It requires home study, a test and personal one- on- one or small group phone coaching (2 - 3 people train with you).
Topics to be covered:
- step-by-step mediation techniques and role-playing
- how to use personality assessment to achieve win /win solutions
- conflict resolution strategies
- uncovering hidden agendas
- consensus building
- writing agreements
- what to be careful about when mediating in CT
- how to get started and build a mediation practice
Program includes:
- 5 hours of one - on - one or small group phone coaching and future support with your cases from a leader in the field
- the on-line mediation training manual
- assistance setting up your practice and a certificate of completion
- eligibility to be mentored by a mediator. (Phone training to be done at a mutually acceptable time.)
Required personality assessment test to be taken online and paid for separately.
