Gail Shapiro, MA is the founder of Connecticut Mediation. She holds a master's degree in Legal Studies with a specialty in ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution). She is a mediation specialist and conflict resolution practitioner. Mrs. Shapiro mediates disputes in family, community, school and workplace venues. She a part - time adjunct professor for various colleges and adult education programs in the Fairfield, CT area, a certified True Colors Personality Assessment Trainer, and the author of "Peaceful Colors - Using Personality Assessment to Build Self Esteem and Resolve Conflicts". Mrs. Shapiro is also the author of the "True Colors Conflict Resolution Training Program and Conflict Resolution Guide". Member of the Association of Conflict Resolution (ACR) and International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP), board member of the Entrepreneurial Women's Network (EWN). Furthermore, Mrs. Shapiro is a Collaborative Practice Trainer specifically helping to grow the Conflict Coaching aspect of the Collaborative Practice field.
Mary Forsyth has has been a mediator, mediator trainer and mentor for mediators for over 13 years. Experienced in the areas of community, family, custody and visitation, special education and the nuclear industry. She is known for her ability to mediate cases involving other cultures and cases where resolution doesn't seem possible. Graduate of the Columbia University Program for Conflict Resolution. Mary has 20 years experience in the nuclear industry in the fields of radiation safety, regulation and policy development. Board member of the Connecticut Association for Children and Adults with Learning Disabilities and ADD and the Association of Conflict Resolution Greater New York Chapter (ACRGNY). Co- Chairperson of the ACRGNY 2007 Annual Conference. A mediator for the Institute for Mediation and Conflict Resolution (IMCR) and Westchester Mediation Center Mediator (custody visitation mediation, special education mediation).
Marcia E. Tannenbaum, Esq. has been an adjunct professor at University of Hartford, Nichols College and Worcester Institute of Senior Education. She practiced law in Conn. with Connecticut Legal Services, Meriden office and Neighborhood Legal Services, Hartford. Attorney Tannenbaum is now an attorney-mediator in Worcester, Massachusetts at Solutions Through Mediation concentrating on divorce and family issues. She trained others in mediation for The Bridge of Central Massachusetts, was editor of the Mass. Council on Family Mediation Newsletter, is also a Collaborative Law attorney and member of the Collaborative Law Council, member of Worcester County Bar Association's ADR Section and Family Law Section, board member of the Mass. Council on Family Mediation and New England ACR. Mrs. Tannenbaum is also a collaborative attorney.
